NORA – NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA REGIONAL ALLIANCE is 300 grassroots community leaders from counties, cities, towns, tribes, chambers, and businesses, representing a rural population in excess of 600,000, mobilized to advance our vision: “Northeast Oklahoma as a unified Region of unique, vibrant, and sustainable communities with abundant natural beauty and rich cultural heritage; where our diverse population takes great pride and accepts responsibility for our future; where innovative leadership is cultivated, children are treasured, meaningful high paying jobs are plentiful, and recreation opportunities abound; the Region of choice to live, work, and play.”
The Northeast Oklahoma Regional Alliance (NORA), a certified 501©3, is a collaboration enjoining leaders in northeast Oklahoma in an effort dedicated to the growth, prosperity, and vitality of our region, and its communities, by promoting regionalism throughout the area, leveraging regional resources, recognizing common issues and identifying collaborative solutions, expanding regional networks, and communicating our regional story. Regions have become the most important geographies in the global economy, where size and scale matter tremendously. No longer are cities and counties competing with one another for economic advantage. Northeast Oklahoma is a rural region working to create new initiatives and innovations in order to build capacity capable of sustaining long-term growth and prosperity. NORA represents the voice for our rural region.
